Patagonia's warmest, most breathable Capilene baselayer is made with low-bulk Polartec Power Grid fabric with Polygiene permanent odor control and is Fair Trade Certified for sewing.
When temperatures drop, grab this lightweight yet superwarm crew to insulate your core and manage moisture without weighing you down. The micro-grid fleece interior of our Capilene® Thermal Weight provides the greatest warmth with the greatest breathability of any baselayer in our lineup.
Soft, stretchy and compressible, Polartec® Power Grid™ fabric has a smooth face that glides beneath layers and a brushed-fleece interior to warm your core, wick moisture and feel smooth against your skin. This fabric also has 30–92% recycled content and is treated with Polygiene® permanent odor control.
Product features include a self-fabric collar with internal neck tape for chafe-free comfort, a locker loop that lets you hang it to dry, full underarm gussets for unhindered shoulder mobility, elastic thumb loops for secure hand coverage, flatlock seams that minimize chafing, offset shoulder and side seams that lie smoothly beneath pack straps, and a drop tail for additional coverage.
Patagonia's Capilene Thermal Weight Crew is a heavyweight thermal baselayer with a wool/polyester blend for superior warmth in cold conditions. It has an slim fit with offset, flat-locked seams so it's comfortable to wear during high intensity activities for prolonged periods.
This warm, breathable polyester baselayer has a smooth face for easy layering, a high loft brushed-grid interior pattern for soft next-to-skin feel and offers superior warmth for cold conditions. Elasticated thumb loops and a locker loop for drying are nice additional touches. The thumb loops are more comfortable than many other designs as they have enough stretch when you are moving your arms a lot during activity. The inclusion of Polygiene stops it from smelling too bad after exercise, meaning less washing and longer wearing.

(Unfortunately, we are unable to ship Patagonia products outside of the European Area (defined as the European Economic Area plus Switzerland and the UK))
We aim to ship all orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday, on the same day. Free shipping is offered for UK Orders over £15 order value. The form of shipping will be at our discretion and will be at the most cost effective service. For most parcels this will be Royal Mail Second Class Post, the timescale for delivery is not guaranteed but Royal Mail aim to deliver second class post in 3-4 working days. Some parcels may require a signature.
Faster shipping options can be purchased at the checkout - see the drop down menu, First Class post is available, as is Next Working Day Delivery. We can arrange Next Day Delivery for a Saturday (when the order is placed on Friday) - call us for charges on an individual basis (01740 661467).
We aim to ship all orders placed before 3pm the same day. The default shipping is 'Standard Delivery'. This is an airmail service which does not offer tracking but is very reliable. We have learned from experience that transit times for non-UK orders can be very unpredictable. To geographically close countries in Europe the times are generally up to 4-5 days but can sometimes take a lot longer - we don't know why.
So, for EU Orders over £15 in value we offer FREE delivery, but the service time is unpredictable. If you need your order by a specific date you can opt for a faster service at the checkout.
Faster tracked shipping options can be purchased at the checkout - see the drop down menu on the checkout page for options. To geographically close countries in the times are generally up to 4-5 days but can take a lot longer - we don't know why. Countries farther afield generally take longer but the spread of transit times is amazing, we have been notified of parcels arriving in Australia after 3 days and others taking a month and (rarely) longer than this.
So, while the shipping options for ROW are quite cheap the service time is unpredictable.
